A unique preschool located in Peakhurst in Sydney's south offering a high quality early childhood program for children with and without additional needs from two-and-a-half to school age.
A community-based inclusive preschool licensed by the Department of Education and Communities, our preschool embraces the practices and principles of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care.
At Learning Links’ preschool we have an experienced staff team of professionals from a range of qualified backgrounds including early childhood teachers, special education teacher, experienced child care workers, a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist and a family counsellor.
Our staff to child ratios is very high, as are the training levels of our team – on all days of the week there are 4 adults to the group of up to 20 or 21 children (exceeding the minimum requirement of 2 adults to 20 children).
All our staff work together with all children. During the day the teachers and therapists observe and interact with all children so that as a team the staff can ensure each child is provided with an educational program suitable to their individual abilities and interests.
Teachers and therapists contribute their expertise to plan and prepare the activities and environment so that through play all children can enjoy learning in individual and group activities.
At Learning Links’ preschool families are our partners. We aim to have open lines of communication and provide opportunities for family involvement including regular family functions and events throughout the year. Families are encouraged to participate in planning the program and goals for their child.
Learning Links’ preschool and its staff provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where children of all abilities can play, grow and learn together.
